The Science

Livinguard’s revolutionary and patented technology works on the principle of inactivating bacteria and viruses, through three key stages: 

  

Capture

Materials that are treated with this technology have ~24 billion charges per square centimetre. The treatment provides a positive “magnet” for viruses and bacteria (microbes), which are negatively charged. Upon contact, the microbes attach themselves to the material. 

Destroy

The positively charged “magnet” is more powerful than the negative charge of the microbes. As a result, they give up and explode. Their cell walls and protein envelopes are disrupted, and the now harmless insides leak out and disintegrate. 

Repeat

Once the microbes are destroyed, they lose their charge. The charges they were attached to on the surface of the material are then released, enabling them to repeat the process of destruction continuously.
